Youth In Action

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our redeemer, from the youth pastor of St. Matthew Jr. Church. The youth ministry of St. Matthew FBH Church is blessed to have the support of our beloved shepherd, Elder Troy E. Bethune, who heard the call in 2006 to give us space to grow and glow.

Our theme chosen for our youth was, “Youth In Action.”St. Matthew’s youth has honored this theme through their singing, dancing, reading, speaking, and play instruments. We like to instruct our youth as often as possible. So they can blossom and grow as flowers of God’s creation.

The word according to Ecclesiastes 12:1, “remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not nor the years draw nigh, when Thy shall say “I have no pleasure in them.”

Our youth of today everywhere needs to know that there is help for them, and we as youth ministers, servants of God, should make ourselves available at all times to be there for them with instructions from God’s Holy word.Proverbs 22:6 says, “train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

If I had to give our youth a thought today. It would be to excel for our destiny awaits our arrival to be greeted by Jesus at heaven’s gate.Youth and adults they is a goal for us all.Just shoot the ball as high as you can and remember, “don’t drop the ball.”

Loving you through Christ,

Rev. Joycelyn Sanders Adams, Youth Pastor
