Maranatha,

Isaiah 10: 11 – Shall I not deal with Jerusalem and her images as I dealt with Samaria and her idols?

Peace be with you and blessings be upon you, in the matchless name of Christ our King, How blessed we are to welcome you to the Praise House. We have been divinely ordained to gather in His name and call upon him.  We delight in the presence of the Lord and enjoy worship and fellowship together.

The text of this commentary encourages, informs, and promises God’s people that He doesn’t ignore  sin regardless who is responsible.  Although Israel was a chosen people He promised them that their idolatry would not be ignored or winked at because He had selected them to show His glory.

Deuteronomy 7:7 says The LORD did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples.

We must be aware that we don’t slip into believing that we have earned the grace of God, or merited the favor of God.  It wasn’t because we were so capable that He has chosen us but it was because of our realization tat we had need for Him that we have submitted and been accepted as sons and daughters.  Failure to acknowledge Him as our source leads to idolatry.  We begin to appreciate the creation over the creator,  recognize the gift but ignore the giver.  Be careful always to Worship Him for who He is  and who He is making you to be. God has selected you to show His glory don’t be overtaken by the glow and loose the purpose.

DON’T TOUCH THAT BRAKE!

Lord, Help My Pastor

Patricia Bankhead

Lord, help my Pastor, I pray
There are many obstacles in his way
Every burden help him to bear
Dear Lord, keep him in Your tender care
Give him strength and the ability
To care for the church and his family
Lord, there is so much he has to do
He can't do alone, he surely needs You
So shelter him in Your loving arms
Safe from all danger and unseen harm
Guard his mouth, his heart and mind
Remove every tittle of sin and pride
Keep him in the hour of temptation
May he not be moved by Satan's persuasion
Remove all fears, Lord, remove all doubt
By Your Spirit, Lord, be in his mouth
So that he will speak a word that is due
And bring Your dear people closer to You

In Jesus Name, Amen.
